Dr. Jay H. Goldstein, DDS
Dr. Goldstein first developed a love for dentistry from his hometown dentist. Though he practiced in a small town, his mentor was passionate about making sure his patients received the best care possible. It was his example that sparked Dr. Goldstein’s insatiable appetite for continuing education.
He earned his DDS degree from Case Western Reserve University in 1975. “When I graduated, he told me to turn my diploma over. What I could see on the back, was what I actually knew.” Dr. Goldstein recalled. “He impressed upon me how important it was I always keep learning.”
That’s something Dr. Goldstein takes seriously. Even his professional peers have noticed. Every year since 2010 they’ve voted Dr. Goldstein a top dentist in Cleveland Magazine pole. (This was a vote of dentists asked to name the dentist they’d want to treat their family.)
“It’s a huge honor,” Dr. Goldstein said. “especially coming from a vote of my peers.”
That love of learning naturally morphed into a love of teaching. He’s been an instructor at Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine and Cleveland Metropolitan General Hospital’s General Practice Residency program. He has lectured internationally and written for dental journals.
Dr. Goldstein recently taught courses for dentists and team members to utilize new CEREC software to make one visit implant abutments and crowns. He’s even a mentor for dentists learning CEREC at the Spear Institute in Scottsdale, AZ.
In 2017, he completed a course in Sleep Medicine at the Pankey Institute in order to better serve his patients suffering from sleep apnea.
